Backup & Disaster Recovery
Restore. Not Rebuild.

Ransomware hits. Hardware fails. Employees make mistakes. When it happens, the only thing that matters is how fast you can get back to work. West Computers delivers backup that's been tested — not just configured.

What We Deliver

A backup you haven't tested is not a backup.

Most businesses have some form of backup running. Most have never tested whether it actually restores. West Computers manages backup and disaster recovery end-to-end — including monthly verified restores so you know your data is actually recoverable when you need it.

We design your backup architecture around a single question: if ransomware encrypted every device tomorrow morning, what's your recovery time? Then we build and test to that target.

Our backup platform provides local backup for fast restores, offsite replication for disaster scenarios, and ransomware detection built into the backup process — flagging unusual encryption activity before it completes.

What's included.

Every deliverable your business receives as part of this service.

💾

Workstation Backup

Continuous or scheduled backup of all managed workstations — local for fast recovery, offsite for disaster scenarios.

🖥️

Server Backup

Full image backup of physical and virtual servers — enabling bare-metal restores or virtualized recovery.

☁️

Microsoft 365 Backup

Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams data backed up independently of Microsoft's retention policies — which are not a backup.

🔐

Encrypted Replication

All backup data encrypted at rest and in transit. Offsite copies stored in geographically separate data centers.

🦠

Ransomware Resilience

Immutable backup copies that ransomware cannot encrypt. Anomaly detection flags unusual file activity during active attacks.

📋

Tested Recovery

Monthly verified restores from both local and offsite copies — documented, with RTO/RPO tracking against agreed targets.

How We Work

Our process.

01

Assessment

We audit your current backup coverage, identify gaps, and define recovery objectives — RTO (how fast) and RPO (how much data loss is acceptable).

02

Architecture Design

We design a backup architecture appropriate to your environment — local + offsite + cloud, with retention policies meeting your compliance requirements.

03

Deployment

Backup agents deployed to all covered endpoints and servers. Backup jobs configured, initial full backup completed and verified.

04

Verification

We run and document a test restore — proving the backup actually works before you need it.

05

Ongoing Management

Daily backup monitoring, monthly restore tests, health reports, and alert response. You get a monthly backup health summary.

FAQ

Common questions.

What backup solution does West Computers use?
West Computers uses a business-grade backup platform for workstation and server backup — providing local backup for fast restores and offsite replication for disaster recovery scenarios.
Does Microsoft 365 back up my data automatically?
No. Microsoft 365's built-in retention policies are not a backup. They're designed for legal holds and accidental deletion recovery — not ransomware recovery or long-term archiving. West Computers backs up M365 data separately.
How quickly can you restore my data after a ransomware attack?
Recovery time depends on the scope of the incident and your RTO target. For workstations with local backup, recovery is typically measured in hours. For full server restores, it depends on environment size. We define and test these targets during onboarding.
What is the 3-2-1 backup rule?
3-2-1 means: 3 copies of your data, on 2 different media types, with 1 copy offsite. West Computers implements this architecture as a standard — local backup, local copy, offsite replication.
How much does backup cost?
Workstation backup starts at $25/device/month. Server and M365 backup pricing varies by storage volume. Contact us for a quote based on your environment.
